Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Medical College is a public sector institution located in MIRPUR AJK. The foundation stone of the college was laid down in the year of 2010 by that time President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari. The MBBS college is part of the chain of medical colleges that came into existence after the crucial situation of the 2005 earth quake disaster.
The first batch of the college was enrolled in the year of 2012. The history of the creation of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed institute is starting from the year of 1976, when the Late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto announced the opening in Mirpur.

Affiliations and Recognition:
The institute has many affiliations and recognition. THE MBBS degree of the institute is recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) which is a regulating body of medical institutions. The degree of the MBBS college is offered in affiliation with the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJKU).
Admission Procedure:
For admission in the college, students need to appear in an entrance test conducted by the stat of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The state entrance test conducted every year for intake of students in all public and private medical institutions of the state of AJK. Application forms for admission are available in 3 medical institutions of AJK which are

  • AJ&K Institute
  • MBBS Institute
  • Poonch Institute

Application form should be completely filled and submitted to the above mentioned colleges. Along with processing fee and required documents should be attached with the application form. Test center should also be selected by the candidate in application form. The sample exams of entrance test are available at the sites of the above mentioned colleges and UHS.

Eligibility Criteria:
For admission in the institute the candidate must passed the 12th grade exams in pre medical group or with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Foreign students are required to provide the equivalency certificate issued by the Inter Board Chairman Committee.
