Mohiuddin Islamic Medical College Mirpur AJK is very first medical college of AJK in all public and private sector institutions. The college started his academic session from the year 2009. The mission of constructing the institution is to provide good quality health education in the territory and produce trained and skilled human professional to serve the country and humanity.
The building of the institute is equipped with many facilities for students like, auditorium, cafeteria, mosque, student hostels, lecture halls etc. The hostels in the campus have 500 male students and 500 female student’s capacity with separate building of male and female hostels. There are also separate hostel for faculty and staff.

MIMC is recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and also by the Ministry of Health Pakistan. PM & DC allows MIMC to enroll 100 students in medicine degree annually. No fooling or ragging is allowed in Campus. The institute is also involved in some controversies like PM & DC issued notice to 9 medical colleges including MIMC for establishing their own 150 bedded teaching hospital or they will be banned for further admission.

This institution offers two degree in medical recently which are

Both degrees are 5 academic years of studies. The degrees are awarded in affiliation with Mohi-Ud-Din Islamic university. The curriculum of the degrees is design under the regulations and instruction of PMDC.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate must possess HSSC pre medical degree with at least 60% marks from a Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or foreign.
Teaching Hospital:
Mohi-Ud-Din Islamic University has signed an agreement with the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. According to this agreement The District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital of Mirpur is attached with MIMC as teaching and training hospital for 15 years. On the other side the institution is constructing its own hospital in campus. The under construction hospital is 1000 bedded hospital project. DHQ hospital is equipped with state of the art health facilities and experienced staff by the Govt. of AJK and also by the college.
