The UET Lahore admission section positioned in the north part of Lahore on the historic “Grand Trunk Road (G. T. Road)”, in the vicinity of the spectacular Shalimar Gardens constructed during the great Mughal Empire.
In the year 1932, the institution was associated with the University of Punjab for the honor of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. In 1947, at the moment of independence, the Institution was presenting well-organized B. Sc. Degree Programs in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering.

UET Lahore Admission 2022 Undergraduate Programs:
PhD. Admission:
Eligibility necessities for enrollment into PhD program is that the applicant must attained a M. Sc. / M. Phil (17+ years degree) or comparative degree in the related discipline in 1st division or with a CGPA of 3. 0 out of a maximum of 4. 0 (in case, applicant’s transcript shows percentage and also CGPA, CGPA would be regarded as for eligibility. CGPAs on a scale other than 4. 00 would be translated consequently).
Applicants should meet HEC’s enrollment test criterion.
Medium of Instruction:
The medium of instruction, writing thesis and examination shall be English.
UET Lahore Admission Ph.D. Application Process:
Every applicant for the Degree of Ph.D. shall utilize for a the entrance to the worried Teaching Department of the UET Lahore determining the area of research and proposed owner.
Post Graduate Research Committee (PGRC) of the anxious department shall examine the application on merit and suggest the area of research and supervisor.
In the case of acclaim of the application, an Advisory Committee composed off 3 members from within or outside the section including the issued supervisor shall be put together by the PGRC and the case shall be submitted for provisional admission to Convener Admission Committee (CAC) for additional processing.
UET Lahore Admission, Requirement of Confirmation for Ph.D. Admissions:
The applicant shall finish a bare minimum of 6 postgraduate programs from within the department or from other departments in session with his supervisor within an optimum period of 2 years. The applicant shall manage a cumulative percentage of 70% or a CGPA of 3. 3 out of 4. 00 in these subjects. In the instance he fails to manage the necessary ordinary at the time of conclusion of 6 post-graduate programs or fails to finished 6 programs within a maximum allowable time period of 2 years, his provisional entrance to the Ph.D. program shall be canceled.
The applicant shall sit for a complete exam within 1 year after satisfying program conditions. In case, the applicant fails to endeavor the 1st complete examination within the particular period, Advisory Committee may highly recommend cancellation of candidate’s provisional entrance to the Ph.D. program.
The extensive examination shall be executed by the anxious department.
An applicant shall glimpse in an extensive examination for the 2nd time if he fails in his 1st attempt promptly when the next time the comprehensive examination is presented by the concerned department. Failure in 2nd attempt shall be communicated to CAC and his provisional enrollment to the Ph.D. program shall be canceled.
The applicant shall present his exploration proposal to PGRC within 6 months after passing the extensive examination. After the demonstration, PGRC shall examine the research proposal or have it examined through a procedure organized for this purpose. After setting up suitability of the proposal as a possibilities Ph.D. topic, engagement along with the title shall be published to Board of Advanced Study and Research (BoASR) for authorization. On authorization by BoASR, candidate’s enrollment in Ph.D. program shall be verified.
In case the applicant does not present his suggestion to PGRC relating to schedule, PGRC may decide to cancel the provisional entrance of the applicant.
UET Lahore Eligibility Criteria:
Only those applicants will be entitled to enrollment who have exceeded their undergraduate (16 years equivalent) degree by acquiring a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 3. 00 out of a maximum of 4. 00. CGPAs on other scales will be translated appropriately. For enrollment to M. Sc. in Applied Physics / Applied Chemistry / Applied Mathematics, the applicant has to secure a minimum of 60% marks in B. Sc. (14 years) and also minimum marks of 60% in the related subject.
The candidate shall have to clear General Aptitude Test (GAT) General test for admission to all programs except M. Sc. in Applied Physics / Applied Chemistry / Applied Mathematics for which tests shall be given by particular departments.
An applicant for enrollment to a postgraduate class, [other than those mentioned at (b) to (L)below] must maintain at least Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline/subject from a identified Institute/University unless higher qualification is laid down for a specific discipline.
An applicant for admission to M. Sc. Applied Chemistry must hold one of the subsequent degrees from a recognized UET Lahore.
The Candidate must have exceeded Intermediate examination with Pre-Engineering/Pre-Medical subjects & B. Sc. with one of the subsequent permutations:
Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics/Mathematics General
Chemistry, Physics, and Statistics
Chemistry, Physics, and Geology
Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology
An applicant having one of the subsequent degrees will be entitled to admission in M. Sc. Computer Engineering:
4 years Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or M. Sc. (16 years) in Physics with the specialty area in Electronics or M. Sc. (16 years) in Electronics from HEC knew UET Lahore.
There is no age restriction
M. Sc. (16 years) in Computer Science or comparable from HEC recognized UET Lahore.
B. Sc. Electrical Engineering from HEC known university subject to finish of 6 extra CS foundations programs as driven by Post Graduate Committee.
There is no age restriction
A applicant for admission to the Master’s Degree Course in City & Regional Planning must hold one of the subsequent degrees from the known UET Lahore/Institution.

NAT Test is also valid for admission and UET Entry Test is also acceptable for admissions. Department also condcut his own entry test. So, you should appear in entry test of UET Lahore.

You must have 50% marks in FSC for applying admission in BSIT, BSCS.

Software Engineering is not offered but UET Lahore. UET Lahore offered Computer Engineering.

Slam.Mai ne D.A.E kia hai. or mere total marks 66% hain. Mai computer software ki field me kuch prna chahta hu. Mera first question ye hai mere lie kya best rhe ga. ek mera friend mje B.S.S.E (bachelor science in software eng.) recommend kr rha hai. What do you think about it. and mje kis institute me jana chaiye jaha normal fee ho. (2-4 lakh).

Software Engineering is best degree if you proceed your study for Software Engineering. Secondly, NUST, Comsats islamabad, Riphah , International islamic University, and NUML are best known university of Softwar Engineering. If you have interested in IT field then go for software Engineering. In last I have asked one thing that your skills give you a good position in market. If you have strong skills regarding your field then you will best from all others in market. So, keep this thing in your mind that your skills depends a lot then your paper of degree.

Please submit your documents like a regular person for entry test at the university. After the test, you will have to get the copy of residential visa of your father attested from the pakistan embassy as well as “form-8” which is available at uet website. Get this form from official webpage of UET.

Yes, you will appear in entry test of UET Lahore which is conducted in the month July/Aug. Registration start in the month of June and you apply online through official webpage of UET Lahore. When admission announced in the month of June than you apply on-line through UET Undergraduate Admission 2015.

UET not offered Software Engineering, this university only offered Computer Engineering. Secondly, ECAT test will be conducted by UET Lahore for all public universities in Punjab. PU accept ECAT entry test for admission in all engineering disciplines.

Private universities conduct their own entry test for admission in Software Engineering like Comsats, FAST, NUST, Giki, UOL. However, only government institution accepted UET Score for admission in engineering department. Admission expected to starts in the month of July.

There are total 11 seats reserved for Sindh Students in UET Lahore. You need to appear in entry test of UET Lahore conducted in various cities of Pakistan.
